About...

Each Branch of the RMT in the South East Region sends delegates to the South East Regional Council. These delegates elect the Executive and Officers to run the Regional Council.  All those who attend are ordinary RMT members from a cross section of employers.

The Regional Council meets every 3 months, the venue for these meetings is the Labour Club, in Bromley, Kent.  During these meetings reports are given by the Executive Committee member for the Region (elected by ballot of members for a 3 year duration) and by the Regional Organisers.  Company Representatives also give reports on what is happening at their company and strategies can be planned, such as engaging the media and gaining public support through campaigns such as leaflets, posters etc.

One decision that was taken recently was to establish this website.  The purpose of this site is to keep RMT members in our region informed of events or news that affects them in their workplace.
